I don;t know why they didn't put the cage where the campers are... that's where the bear goes!
Maybe if it is too close it might draw other bears. Did you get the host job at DeSoto?
Haven't heard about the Desoto host job... the feds need 3 weeks for background check. only been two.I moved to Vogel State Park, about 5 miles north of Desoto and am a camp host here untill mid June.No bears at this park yet this year.
Glad you will have some money coming in. We will probably come back to DeSoto the last week in May.
correction - bear sited at campsite 23 today at 3 pm. hide the food!
I guess they caught and relocated the bear, we didn't see him the 5 days we were there.
