Getting your photo taken in Daytona Beach during Bike Week 2013 just got even easier~~~~

PhotoKurtz.com will be roadside and shooting at many venues that week.   No, the website doesn't look like bikers,,, yet.   We shoot horses also.   By Bike Week in Daytona Beach Florida it will be all about Harley-Davidson and Orange County chopper type machines.

We will be posting Daytona Bike Week 2013 pictures all day every day and you can order prints online when you are home and remembering the event...   as much as you can remember.

The last couple weeks has been pretty drab in terms of bike-miles...   Local stuff, visiting friends, chasing daughter to horse shows.

Daytona 500 this weekend with my brother and daughter.  No bike time there...

There will be photos from Bike Week 2013 in Daytona Beach Florida on my website PhotoKurtz.com day by day as they become available.  Will start shooting in ernest on Sunday March 10th at the end of a two day cross state ride with AdventureRiders.com .

During the week I will be around the city with a banner (I hope) that says PhotoKurtz.com shooting everything in sight!   

At the end of the week will be leaving for another two-day coast-to-coast ride with DixieDualSport.com .   Both cruises travel from Daytona to Cedar Key along very different types of roads and routes.  I think registration is still open for both groups.

Rubber Side Down.

Spent the weekend at Camp Blanding FL with the BMW MOA of NE FL annyal rally.   Great fun!   Explored back roads and tank trails with about 35 other bikers.

Sunday afternoon we spent about 4 hours at the local motorsports park with mostly off-road trails and challenges...   sorta difficult to keep the front wheel light, your weight back and your speed up when there's a guy face down in the sand in front of you.

1/16/13 Wildwood to Jackzonville.   Cool and wet.   Drove about an hour in light rain and dropping temps.   Mostly interstate but a few miles on local roads.  Wind on the bridge coming into this subdivision was brisk with wind coming of the coast.   Now I have been to both coasts in FL.   

I FORCED myself to keep the speed at or under 65 today and the MPG went back above 60mpg.  Two tanks this week with mostly highway driving but no baggage to speak of were under 58 MPG.  Steering has a wobble when I take my hands off the bars at speeds below 30.   Brought tire pressure up to 38 front and 44 back.  No change.  Maybe lift the bars one inch to see if that is causing it.

Live from Florida!

So I haul my luggage to 2nd floor room yesterday and must have pulled something in my back.

Then about 3:30 I had finished the bus tour at the villages and was feeling tired so I headed to motel.   The crossing gate at the end of the village went up for me and a go-cart raced past at the same time.  The gate recognized the cart first and came down across my windshield and helmet, knocking me over... my left ankle has a big bubble one one side...  caught under the bike.

The golf cart went away without stopping but two people helped me get the bike up and away I went...   Brought my  super pain pills and will try them tonight.

ugh.

oh well,,,  lovely day.

The bus tour guide is from Tamaqua, 15 miles from home.
