Here's what I see available for BMW and ADV rallies in the months to come:

Updated 7/21/13 - CLICK on AGENDA view to see only dates with specific activities.

Will add notes as time permits.

Can't believe I have been home 20 days already...   Seems like the travels just ended.

Bike is back from Hermy's BMW.   New sprockets and chain.

before                                                    after

I went to a 49 tooth sprocket in the rear, two extra teeth for a 4% lower gear ratio.   Slight boost for low end plinking.   Can't really notice it at speed.

Hermy's warranty work included rear bearings,  replaced heated hand grip switch and right heated grip, broken gas-cap, cleared ABS error message.   This bike will be brand new before it reaches its second birthday!

Have plenty more to do myself to the bike.   Side storage canisters are shot. (turn screen sideways)
The original units were Schedule 20 PVC and they took a few hits.   New ones are Schedule 40 and I need better mountain method to spread out the load more when lying hip-to-the-asphalt.   Not sure that I like the extra weight tho... almost 5# each more than before.

Also adding tail additional front and rear turn indicators and flashing brake lights.   All in good time.

Needless to day, I need to get blogging more and catching up on things that never got posted.   Next task is to start a calendar of upcoming events and target rides for next year... I missed two really nice ones this spring in GA and TN.   More to follow.    Jeff

Interesting day... sorta relaxing with some maintenance stuff...   Went back to bike show (Hermy;s) to retrieve cell phone, again...  and return expensive K&N air filter.  Then Cabella/s to return GPS.  Then bank to hope that the overhaul check hasn't arrived and wlll clear...   not much worried about the check, but I could be 14 days with no beer money...   living on the Social Security Edge.

Took back roads down... Hawk Mountain  to Schnecksfille with Herby and Cabella en route.   Then north on 183.  'fairly boring but decent sweeps.   Stopped at local beer store and booked yardsale space for Saturday:\\

Ringtown Community Yard Sale Saturday - $1 (17967 Ringtown)

Spend the day! Hundreds of yard sales. FOOD. Beverages. 12 blocks of sales, both sides of main street... every side street had more sales... Church parking lot is fully taken. Stay for the day! Visit VALLEY BEVERAGE for refreshments and 8 vendors on their side yard... More sales this weekend in Sheppton, 5 miles north. Bring shopping bags and maybe a wagon and MONEY!!! Tools, clothes, kitchen gadgets, GAMES, computers, antiques, lawn equipment, coolers, fishing equipment, baby stuff.

It the "haven't use it in 6-months, sell it" theory applies I can sell three bedrooms and a garage with no worry.
Will take truck and trailer and perhaps several trips.

Wishing you a great Friday and weekend.  Jeff

Just sitting here remembering 6 months with no radio...   After one week back to normal I unplugged the radio and cleared that space in the kitchen.   George Zimmerman isn't coming to a town near me any time soon...  the next election probably won't either.

Facebook and chipmunks in my bird feeders are enough drama for me.  Fishing might even be a bit over the edge.

Feet up.  No Shoes.  No Shirt.  No Sunscreen.

Happy Wednesday!  Getting back into the writing mode.   No travels today.  Bike is at Hermy's for odds and ends of mostly warranty stuff...   I had them replace the chain and sprockets and they found rear bearings shot.  They said that the only risk would be that the rear wheel would just fall off...   interesting concept.

I would guess that BMW has now spent more on warranty work on this bike in one year than I paid for the bike.   They are missing a part so the bike sits in shop.  Hopefully today.  They haven't gotten to the ABS error code.   It's probably a numeric message which indicates that the rear wheel is about to fall off.

How can my $90 cell phone tell me the time, temp and location of nearest saloon and my bike can't speak in english...

Hermy's DID give me a loaner bike so I tagged up with customer Bob and headed to Cracker Barrel for breakfast ans story swapping.   He's headed to CA in a couple weeks.  His blog is HERE <<<

From there I headed to Cabella's and picked up a $125 GPS for $59.  Will be improvement from fumbling with rand McNally at 75 MPH.

Here's the sprocket yesterday.
