NeckMike comes to helmets!

This summer at the BMW MOA Rally, in MN, I met Charles Morse, the US
distributor for a mobile headset device, NeckMike, for use with other users, and bluetooth systems such as GPA, mobile phone or voice recorder.

Now don't run out and buy this puppy yet, we're waiting for the new release of their product within the next few weeks.  I am doing product testing of the Neckmike for use on the bike and for dictation directly to text using Dragon software.

The Neckmike is specially designed to fit snug against the neck, coupled to earbuds and a wireless transceiver for communication with up to three other units, or plugged into a cell phone or recording device.  For motorcycling this means hands free communication between drivers and passengers within a one-half mile radius (line of sight.)  Pictured is one pair of NeckMikes, with the twin-pack being four total units.

It, reportedly, virtually eliminates wind noise and, for convenience, eliminates the boom mike usually associates with helmet communication systems.

I will be on the road with this system doing some phone and dictation exercises and should have sound clip samples to post presently.

From their website:

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Neckmike M4 Bluetooth system
enables communication in high noise environments between up to 4 persons in a group.* With the press of a button on the unit or handlebar remote control, you can open a full duplex intercom session over Bluetooth with any member of the group, at a range up to 1,000 meters.

When paired with your mobile phone, the M4 Bluetooth unit enables you to make calls and listen to stereo music wirelessly from your device.

The Neckmike M3 Bluetooth system is ideal for bike-to-bike or rider-to-passenger communication and for phone calls, music and navigation when paired with a compatible device. It is perfect for all types of powersports including motorcycles, side-by-sides and snowmobiles. It is also suitable for other motorsports and spectator sports such as NASCAR.
Neckmike is the only communication system that may be worn with any style helmet or without a helmet. For use without a helmet, the Bluetooth unit can be stowed in a pocket or attached to gear or clothing with an optional spring clip
It, reportedly, virtually eliminates wind noise and, for convenience, eliminates the boom mike usually associates with helmet communication systems.

Listen up!
